My student teaching experience, though shortened due to COVID-19, was still fulfilling in many aspects. I was able to learn so much about classroom management, lesson planning, art making, etc. first hand and in a new way I had never gotten to experience before. I feel as though it has changed my outlook on teaching and how to be a hardworking adult. My first placement at O'Gorman High School taught me how important it is to share the same values as your school. It helps so much in created a relationship with fellow teachers, administration, and the students. At the elementary school placement, I learned the importance of patience, and never rush a project, because the finished product will show the lack of care. There were so many experiences and lessons I had to learn to understand how hard teaching can be, but how impactful it is for not only the students, but myself as well.
